(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) – The Islamic Information Centre (IIC), in collaboration with Sarawak ESQ Alumni, will be holding a public lecture on ‘The Journey of Prophet Muhammad (saww)’ in conjunction with the Isra’ and Mi’raj 1432H celebration June 25.
The lecture will be held at 8pm at the centre at Ong Tian Swee Road here.
The Isra’ and Mi’raj is commemorated yearly on 27 Rejab based on the Muslim lunar calendar.
These are two parts of a journey that the Prophet Muhammad (saww) took during a one night journey, around the year 621.
A brief sketch of the story is contained in chapter 17:Surah Al-Isra’, in the Holy Quran, with other details provided by supplementary writings, the hadith.
Such lecture is held as part of the centre’s efforts in promoting and communicating the universality of Islam so as to create a better understanding and enhanced appreciation of Islam among the multi-ethnic and multi-religious populace here.
